About the Role
SR3 Engineering is seeking an experienced, growth-minded individual for a new full-time Electrical Studies Engineer position. This position will serve a variety of energy markets, but primarily working in the power delivery market (substation and transmission). As a small business, adaptability and possessing multiple skill sets will set candidates apart.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct electrical studies and perform electrical design calculations
Create specifications for field testing, mitigation materials, equipment
Develop and document drawings, electrical basis of design, SOW, and reports
Ensure technical accuracy and conformance to project design criteria
Utilize and follow appropriate procedures, design guidelines, and design tools
Manage and support multiple concurrent projects
Serve as primary liaison with clients, project management, and diverse engineering teams
Other duties, as identified
Available for domestic travel (up to 25%) to meet with SR3 team and clients
Requirements and Skills
5+ years of engineering studies experience in energy, power generation, power delivery, power transmission utilities and/or related industries
Proficient with any of the following software packages: CDEGS, ETAP, EasyPower, SKM PowerTools (and similar packages)
Proficient with any of the following studies: Grounding, AC interference, arc flash
Proficient with applicable industry codes and standards (NFPA/NEC, IEEE, ANSI)
Perform QC on deliverables and completed projects
Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills
A desire for personal and professional growth
