About the Role
This is a full-time remote role for a Substation Engineer at SR3 Engineering. The Substation Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as substation electrical design (P&C and/or Physical), familiarity with a full package of substitution design studies (AC/DC system design, grounding, lightning, lighting, voltage drop, and any other relevant to design calculation). We provide competitive compensation and benefits while offering the flexibility of remote work. This role may require occasional travel to the client's office or a substation to support project execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Substation engineering (physical design and/or protection and control)
Substation studies
Drawing markups (drafting/CAD capabilities are a plus)
Requirements and Skills
At least 2 years of transmission and distribution substation electrical engineering experience (4+ is preferred)
Experience in power systems software such as CDEGS and/or ETAP is beneficial
Independent work ethic and strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
