About the Role
This is a full-time remote role for a Substation Engineer at SR3 Engineering. The Substation Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as substation electrical design (P&C and/or Physical), familiarity with a full package of substitution design studies (AC/DC system design, grounding, lightning, lighting, voltage drop, and any other relevant to design calculation). This role may require occasional travel to the client's office or a substation to support project execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Substation engineering (physical design and/or protection and control)
Substation studies
Drawing markups (drafting/CAD capabilities are a plus)
Requirements and Skills
At least 2 years of transmission and distribution substation electrical engineering experience (4+ is preferred)
Experience in power systems software such as CDEGS and/or ETAP is beneficial
Independent work ethic and strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
