About the Role
SR3 Engineering is seeking an experienced, growth-minded individual for a new full-time Senior Electrical Substation Engineer position. This position will serve a variety of energy markets, but primarily working in the power delivery market (substation and transmission). As a small business, adaptability and possessing multiple skill sets will set candidates apart.
Pay Scale: $81k-$132k (based on skills and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, characterize, and document project goals, scope, stakeholders, risks, issues, success measures, effort and resource estimates
Create, maintain, and deliver communication plans, status updates, charters, schedules and budgets
Proactively manage projects to deliver them in-scope, on-time and on-budget while enforcing checkpoints and managing change-control
Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively
Oversee project from initial funding approval through delivery, including overall continuing project maintenance
(Optional) - Perform QA/QC tasks related to substation design projects; support R&D efforts, industry involvement
Requirements and Skills
Dedicated space and access to high speed internet in order to facilitate working from home
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Project management work experience (5+ years in power systems industry preferred)
Knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and processes
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, escalation, and influencing skills
PMP certification is not required, but preferred.
Strong business and organizational acumen, leadership abilities, good judgment, appropriateness, and courage
